General Conference Weekend!

I love General Conference!  This weekend was no exception.  The talks were wonderful!!!  I'm excited to be able to read them and remember all the great words that were spoken.  The Spirit was so strong and shared some incredible messages for me.  I was reminded to keep exercising my faith and trusting in the Lord and all things will work out for us.  He loves us and will take care of us as we do our part.  I also loved how so many of the talks focused on family and teaching the gospel in our home.  This time around those talks were much more applicable!  With this baby girl coming I feel such a great responsibility to teach her the gospel and to provide a safe haven from this crazy world.  I'm so grateful for the guidance and direction we receive from a living Prophet and Apostles on the earth today.  I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who wants us to be happy and to return to live with Him one day.  As we follow the teachings we receive in conference it is possible for us to be happy in this life and one day return to Him and our Brother, Jesus Christ.  We are truly blessed.

My poor swollen feet.

Yesterday my feet were so swollen.  I haven't really experienced that during my pregnancy and I am quite grateful!  I woke up yesterday and could tell they were swollen some but by the end of the day they were really bad.  (I know some of you may be thinking that mine aren't that bad, but for me this was pretty bad!)  When we were getting ready to leave in the morning I tried on 3 pairs of shoes/sandals and none of them fit...they were too tight.  There was only one pair of flip flops that were okay.  That was so weird.  And by the end of the day even they were leaving marks on my feet!  Luckily after propping them up last night for awhile and then sleeping they were much better today.  I tried to make sure and move around more often and prop them up today so we didn't have a repeat night.  Oh the end of pregnancy!  This last month has been an entirely new level...but it is totally worth it for this little girl! 

I can't believe I'm over 39 weeks now.  As of last Thursday I was dilated 1 1/2 centimeters and 75% effaced.  We're just playing the waiting game for this little one to arrive...our bags are packed in the car and the car seat is installed...we're ready!!!  Can't wait to meet you baby girl!

We decorated the nursery!

A few weeks ago we finally decorated the nursery and I'm so happy with how it turned out!!!  It is so cute!  Adri took some pictures for us so I thought I would post them.  Can't wait until we have a cute little baby to live in there :)

Spring is coming...finally!!!

I'm so glad it is finally warming up outside and the sun has been shining!  I really love that someone along the way planted tulips at the house :)  Now I get to reap the benefits of their work...and I'm okay with that because I do NOT have a green thumb...  Anyway, we got our first blossoms of the year and they made us really happy!  I love Spring!

REAL Game!!!

Today was a little extension of our birthdays.  At about 4:00 Landen got a message from his friend asking if we wanted his tickets to the REAL game tonight at 7:00...ummmm, YES!!!  We ran home from his parent's house really quick and changed and headed down to Sandy for the game.  It was so spontaneous!!!  And it's probably the last spontaneous thing we'll be doing for a long time once this baby comes.  So we took the opportunity and had a blast!  We had 2nd row seats!  It was so awesome!!!  REAL won 2-1, it was a great game!  We were also hoping that all the walking and jumping up and down would induce my labor, but it didn't.  I guess baby girl is just not ready to come out yet.  But she did get to go to her "first" game :)  I'm so glad we were able to have one more adventure before this little one graces us with her presence.

Birthdays 2013!

We are pretty low key around here for our birthdays.  Especially this year...we're kinda poor from buying a house and having a baby, so it was extra low key.  Luckily Adri brought us some delicious cupcakes!  She took me out to lunch for my birthday too which was really sweet of her :)  On Landen's birthday we got to spend the evening with Tiva and Ryan and I made a cake, so it was pretty great!  Yeah, we may be a little pathetic, but it works for us.  It was so fun to see Tiva and Ryan...it had been waaaaayyyy too long!  Tiva and I are 38 weeks pregnant today so we had to take some pictures!  It has been fun going through all of this with her.  I still can't believe we are due on the same day...our little girls really are going to be best friends.  It's meant to be.  We had fun swapping pregnancy stories and advice we've gotten.  It was a great night!  
Well, I'm 29 now and Landen is 24...that just seems crazy!  I'm not sure how I feel about it...age is just a number, right?!  Here's to another great year!
