Happy Birthday to Us! ~ March 26 & 29, 2012

The great thing about our birthdays being 3 days apart is that we pretty much get to celebrate for an entire week!  It was great!  The celebrations started off with lunch at Tucanos with Jared and Megan and kiddos!  It's becoming a family tradition of ours :)  One of my favorite parts of that day was when we were walking in and I was holding Rylie and she says to me, "A prophet has some words for you!"  I said, "Oh really.  Well, we get to hear from the prophet next weekend, he is going to speak to us."  She says, "No, the prophet is a girl!"  Well, we'll get there! HA!  It was so darn cute.  I love that girl.  And it just melted my heart that she told me that first thing.  We had a fun afternoon, great food and great company!  Later that day we got to go to a Salt Lake REAL game!  It was a great ending to the day!

When we left Tucanos I had to stop and get one of my very favorite treats from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory...exhibit A:  YUM.

That night we made sure to go to Dairy Queen for some delicious blizzards!  So good.  We didn't do anything extravagant for our birthdays, but it was great.  We didn't need to do much, we're simple kind of people.  It works for us.  Happy #28 to me and #23 to Landen!

Jazz Game!

We're so blessed to have good friends!  My friend from work, Wendy, called us up one night and asked if we wanted to go to a Jazz game...that night!  Her daughter had some tickets they weren't going to be able to use and Wendy was so kind to think of us.  We went and picked up the tickets and headed up to Salt Lake City.  We got a great parking spot and walked to Energy Solutions Arena.  It has been a really long time since I've been to a Jazz game.  We had so much fun!  We love going to sporting events.  It was a blast to be there enjoying the game.  It was a great game...and we WON!!!

My 2 Year Anniversay at Elite Chiropractic!

Wow...has it really been 2 years already?!  What a great 2 years it has been working at Elite Chiropractic!  I am so very grateful for my job.  I absolutely love the work I get to do, I get to help people every single day and that is so incredibly fulfilling.  I am so lucky to work with such amazing women and doctors.  We are like a little family.  It is so nice to enjoy going to work every day, to be with my friends/family.  We have such great patients there too that just make my day!  It is great to have doctors that I would trust my life with, they are such hard workers and have become the best in their field.  It is great to know that I can recommend them to everyone.  I'm so happy there!  And, I love chiropractic!  It has changed my quality of life...like getting rid of those horrible headaches I started having while on my mission.  I'm so grateful to be able to do something I truly believe in.  I am so blessed to have this opportunity to be where I am.  It was seriously an answer to my prayers 2 years ago that I was able to find this job despite my lack of experience in this field.  I'm grateful they took a chance on me!!!  Happy 2 Year Anniversay to me!

My first true love...

My first true love was Country Apple scent from Bath and Body Works.  Then one day it was taken from me.  I then fell in love with Pearberry, Mango Mandrin and Orange Sapphire...and they have all since been taken from me also.  I found out on my WEDDING DAY that Mango Mandrin  was gone.  I realized that I had forgotten to pack my tube of lotion so I asked my best friends, Des and Amber, to stop by B&BW to pick some up for me before my reception since we would be gone on our honeymoon for a few days.  Des walked up to me at the reception and said she had some bad news, Mango Mandrin had been discontinued.  What?!!!  So they found the closest thing they could for me which began the days of Orange Sapphire.  Anyway...that is just how my life goes.  It drives me crazy that B&BW keeps getting rid of my scents but keeps ones forever that make me want to vomit (aka Sweet Pea...sorry if you like it, but I cannot stand it, hence the vomit comment).  Okay, I really need to stop now. 

The whole reason for this post is because something finally went right for me in the scent department!  I realized I was low on my stash of Orange Sapphire (I stocked up when they were getting rid of all of it for cheap) and I was thinking I would have to find a new scent, which I hate doing.  Landen was already in bed and I was getting my second wind and I had this distinct thought: Check online for old scents.  So I did.  (Oh, the other thing I am very picky about is that is has to be the body CREAM.  That's all I will use. Sometimes at the semi-annual sales they'll have the lotion, but not the cream.  Frustrating.)  And guess what?  They actually had Country Apple Body Cream in stock!!!  It was a miracle!  I've missed it so much!  I had looked online before but never found it.  To make it even better, it was still the price of when it was being sold, $10.50 vs. today they're $12.  And it was buy 3 get 2 free...AND I found a code online for 20% off!  It was a great night.  Landen may never let me stay up that late anymore, but it was totally worth it!!!  I get to be reunited with my first true love!
