* One of my favorite things she says is "hoopa hoop" = hula hoop. It is so cute.
* Ellie's refusal to give hugs and kisses to Daddy has started to transfer to me too. Mostly at night when I'm putting her to bed, she won't give me a hug and kiss when I go to lay her down. So I have to steal them :)
* This girl is old enough to know when she needs to poop. She will always go and hide to do it. Lately she has picked the coat closet. Then she'll tell me, "I poop in closet." Well, thanks for the news, Ellie! Now if you would only choose to do it on the toilet instead... But she still has zero interest in potty training. That's okay for the time being with Winnie coming, but we are getting into a time crunch with starting pre-school in the fall. So I've started to tell her that before she can got to Teacher Jen's or a dance class she has to go in the potty. Hopefully soon that will start making sense and she'll have a desire to get this done. I know we will get there eventually. And it will have to be on her terms :)
* Ellie has a pretty incredible memory. She remembers things that blow my mind. She will recall details of things we do and tell me all about it. One day she was telling me all about going to the beach and blue rhino...that was in April! I don't know if she really remembers it or seeing pictures brings it back. But it is pretty fun to hear all the things she can recall.
* 2.4.16: Tonight while Ellie and I were cuddling before bed she all of a sudden started making up these songs. I have no idea what she was singing, every so often she would put in some real words, but it was mostly just babbling. Of course she made me dance along. It was so cute.
* 2.9.16: Ellie helped me clean up her toys tonight before dinner...and it was her idea!!! Heck yes. I could get used to that!
* 2.12.16: The last few weeks she has started to say, while holding up her finger, "Cuddle 2 minutes!" Or play, read, draw, etc...whatever it is she wants to keep doing when I tell her it is time for bed or that she needs to do something. That little stinker. She does it because I give her warnings all the time (which has helped a lot when switching between activities...most of the time), "You have two more minutes to play and then it's time to get ready for bed." I hate it when they start to use your own tactics on you...
* 2.15.16: Today Ellie was eating and was doing something she wasn't supposed to be doing...I can't even remember what. But, all of a sudden she throws her arms in the air and says, "I be so happy when baby Winnie gets here!!!" It was the most adorable thing. She sure knows how to use her cuteness to her advantage.
* 2.19.16: It was fun this morning to listen to Ellie talking to Blue Baby when she was still in her bed. Landen heard her doing it the other morning too. What's funny is that it's like she's recreating conversations we've had, she is the mommy and Blue Baby is the kid and Ellie gets to boss her around! Ha! It's really cute though. I'm glad she entertains herself until I hear her and get up :)
* Ellie has started to say "cool." It is so cute. If we do something or show her something she will say, "That's cool, Mom!" It is really funny!
* She's started to call out to objects like they will respond when she is looking for something. "Milk, where are you?" "Blue Baby? Where are you???" She really thinks they will respond. It's quite entertaining to watch!
