Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a little more fun this year since we have a baby.  Ellie was a stinkin' cute white tiger.  One of my friends from home gave us the outfit and it was perfect.  We had a Halloween party at the Hulsey's the weekend before which was fun.  Then on Halloween I had to take Ellie to Hillcrest to meet Miss May Bell (aka Grandma Nita's substitute secretary)!  Luckily she wasn't scared of her :)  That night we went out to Newton and Trunk'or'Treated with Henry and Harrison.  It was fun to spend the day with family.  The kids were so cute!  Later Jordan brought Calvin and Ali out to visit too.  Love all those kiddos!  Happy 1st Halloween, Ellie Beth!

Palmers and Hardys back together again!

It only took us 5 months to get together again, but we did it!  Ryan, Tiva and Abby were able to come up and see us finally!  We've tried to get together a few times but things just didn't work out.  Our babies are getting so big.  It is ridiculous.  I loved seeing the girls together.  I'm so grateful for good friends!

Pumpkin Walk 2013

Nita, Adri, Landen, Ellie and I went to the Annual Pumpkin Walk this year.  It was my first time going and I was totally impressed with the talent and imagination people have.  These scenes were incredible!  It was so much fun to look at the many things people can do with pumpkins.  And we couldn't have picked a better day to go weather wise.  It was perfect.  This is definitely going to have to become a family tradition :)

Baby Food and Big Girl Chairs

We finally started feeding Ellie baby food a little while ago.  She usually loves it...now...  The first thing we tried was green beans and it took some getting used to.  She made some pretty funny faces.  Of course the best ones weren't captured on camera.  Figures.  But here are some of the faces.  Also, we finally started using her big girl chair!  I was against a big high chair so we got a booster that just fits on a regular chair.  I love it.  Great choice.  Here's to food!

Family Picutres

Adri is here from England so we had to make sure and get some new family pictures!  And some 6 month pictures of Ellie.  It's amazing how quickly our pictures go out of date now with a baby.  Thanks, Adri!  I love my little family so much.

Cousins!

Adri had Henry and Harrison one day so they came over to visit.  Those boys are wild, but I sure love them.  And they LOVE Ellie.  Especially Harrison, he just can't get enough of her!  They're good "big brothers" to her :)  Everyone needs a big brother.  I love watching them play together.  I'm glad Ellie has a few cousins that live close.

I Love Fall!

Fall is in full swing here and it is gorgeous!  I absolutely love the changing colors.  There's nothing quite like it.  We made sure to take a drive up Logan canyon to enjoy the view.  It was such a beautiful drive!  Heavenly Father sure did bless us with this beautiful earth!  And with our beautiful baby girl!

Ellie ~ 6 Months Old ~ Half a Year Already?!

Weight: 15 pounds 13 ounces ~ 46th percentile

Height: 26 1/4 inches ~ 69th percentile

Oh. My. Goodness.  This past month has been crazy!!!  Crazy awesome that is!  We spent most of the month in Indiana and I think all that humidity made her grow 3x as fast.  She hit a lot of milestones this month.  It seemed like almost daily she did something new or improved greatly on something.  It has been so much fun watching her grow and develop.  A friend said to me, "Isn't it so fun to watch them figure things out on their own?!"  Yes, yes it is.  Ellie brings me so much joy.  I love this little girl more than words can express.  Can't believe she's already half a year old. 

* She started eating rice cereal.  She was quite unsure of it at first but got the hang of it very quickly!  She eats pretty well now.  Next step: Baby food...here we go in a few days!
* She can sit up by herself.  I realized I needed to give her the opportunity more often and once I started sitting with her on the floor she did it really quick.  She's had a few soft face plants and some hard backward falls, but she's getting there.  She'll sit up for long periods of time and can play with toys while sitting.  She's so big!
* Ellie is mobile.  AHHH!!!  I'm still not okay with this ;)  She is army crawling now.  It seriously happened overnight.  We were at the Bell's in Ohio.  Up to that point she could scoot a little and roll around and get things but it took awhile to make it very far.  One morning I set her on the ground and went into the kitchen to get something and I hear this thump, thump, thump.  I go back in and she was across the room!!!  What?!  She hasn't slowed down since then.  This girl can get wherever she wants now...and whatever she wants...and she sure likes to get into everything she shouldn't!  It's already starting...  I've learned I can't put her in white onesies right now unless I want them to be filthy.  I've used a lot of Shout lately :) 
* She cut her first 2 teeth.  The bottom incisors.  They're so cute...and lethal!  It hurts when she bites now...especially when she gets the top of my foot when I'm not expecting it! 
* Ellie discovered grass one day and it was the funniest thing!  She would run her hands through it really slow and you could tell she was just trying to figure it out.  Adorable.

I think those are the big things from this past month.  I'm sure there's more, but I've been slacking on blogging and I'm a little behind.  Trying to catch up when you have a baby that changes almost daily is quite hard to accomplish.  Anyway.  Pictures make up what I lack in writing :)  Ellie Beth is basically the cutest baby in the world.
