Ellie's 2 Year Pictures

Adri did a 2 Year Old photo shoot with Ellie when we did our family pictures.  I love how they turned out.  They captured so many sides of this beautiful little girl.  

Happy Easter!

Easter once again fell on General Conference weekend!  I kind of love when that happens.  What better way to celebrate our Savior than by listening to His living prophets and apostles all weekend!  First and foremost, I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ, who performed the Atonement for me, so that one day I can be perfect and live again with Him and Heavenly Father and my family.  The talks during conference were so powerful and helped me to know where I can improve in my life.  They testified of the Savior.  I am so blessed to have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.  One of my favorite quotes was from Elder Holland in the Sunday morning session.

We also enjoyed to commercial side of Easter :)  Ellie was really fun this year!  We did the Easter walk thing at Lee's and there was an Easter Bunny there...and Ellie pretty much hated it.  She wouldn't even get close enough for a picture...we weren't surprised at all.  The Easter Bunny spoiled her this morning.  Then we had dinner and an Easter egg hunt out at Grandma and Poppa Hardy's.  Ellie had fun and was so cute!  She found all of her eggs...with a little help ;)  

BUNCO!

I've been in a BUNCO group for a little over a year now and I LOVE it!  It has been so much fun and something I look forward to every month.  I'm so glad my neighbor, Jen, asked me to play.  It is such a fun group of ladies :)  Well, tonight I finally won the most BUNCOS!  Yes!  I knew going into the last round I was tied with two other ladies with 3 Buncos, so I was determined to roll another one.  It was the very last round and as it started I starting saying, "I need to get a bunco, I need to get a bunco..." The dice came to me, I rolled...and BUNCO!!!  It was awesome!  Maybe I'm pathetic that I'm this excited, but hey, it was so fun!  And to make it even sweeter, Camille did a spring cleaning theme, so I got a huge bag full of cleaning products!  Score!  Anyway, I'm so grateful to be part of this group.

Baby Animal Days

We fought the crowds and braved going to Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Center today.  It was a little nuts with all the people there, but we made the best of it.  We spent most of our time standing in lines, but Ellie seemed to enjoy the animals.  We saw the horses first and they were HUGE!  Once we got a little close Ellie was  not having it, so we kept our distance but still got a cute picture.  Next were the baby ducks.  It took her a little bit to warm up to the idea, but finally she give it a stroke or two.  She seemed to like the baby chicks a little bit more.  She even wanted to hold one, but they were too squirmy so I let her help me hold one.  We looked at some chickens then headed over to the goats.  Again, it took her a little bit to warm up, but she found one that was sleeping in the trough and she sure loved that one!  She stood there and petted it for awhile and then later when one walked up she was fine with it!  Yeah!  Now, the donkey was a different story.  In the picture it looks like she is waving at it, but she is actually waving it away and saying, "No, no, no!"  Ha!  It was kind of funny.  She liked petting the lamb.  It was so soft.  

Then it was off to see the bunnies!  We stood in line for way too long, but it was worth it because she absolutely loved the bunny!!! (Don't let the look on her face fool you, she didn't show much emotion all day. She hasn't felt well all week so she was pretty passive, but she really did love that bunny.) At first we put it in a basket because I thought it would be a good way for her to get used to it. I had it half on my lap and after a few seconds she pulled it completely onto her lap.  We petted it for a little bit, then she wanted to hold it...so, we let her.  Luckily it was a pretty docile bunny and just laid there and let her pet it and didn't try to hop away!  It was the cutest thing ever!  But NO, we will NOT be getting a bunny ;)  When we were done and Grandma Nita picked it up to put it away Ellie starting pointing at its nose.  (In the picture it looks like she is crying, but she was just coughing.)  Overall our adventure was a success!  I'm glad we took Ellie.  And of course we got some Kettle Corn to take home...that was probably the best part for us adults ;)
