October ~ 2015

Happy October!  Time is flying by so fast!  But guess what, Ellie is still super cute!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was so much fun this year!  Ellie really got into it and was excited to wear the Anna dress she picked out.  She even got to have "braids like Na-na (Anna)!" She was adorable.  We took her trick-or-treating at Lee's this morning.  They made a black light thing to walk through in the warehouse and I was a little worried Ellie wouldn't like it, but I was wrong!  She thought it was so much fun.  We went out to Newton to trunk-or-treat again this year.  It's just so convenient with a 2 year old.  Afterward we went back to Nita and Wayne's for pizza and to hang out.  It was a successful Halloween :)

Hogle Zoo

Today Ellie and I took a trip down to the Hogle Zoo to go with Tiva, Abby and Hannah.  It was a really fun day!  We haven't seen them in so long, it was so nice to hang out with Tiva.  I've missed her.  It was fun to just talk and catch up.  The girls loved playing together!  I still can't believe that Tiva and I were due on the same day with Ellie and Abby and that they were born 4 days apart.  Gosh, I just love them.  I'm so glad we were able to make this trip happen. Ellie loved seeing all the animals!  It was a great day to go, the weather was great and I think it helped the animals be really active, which is way more fun!

Pumpkin Walk ~ 2015

I love this tradition of going to the Pumpkin Walk.  I always love seeing all the creative scenes people come up with.  Ellie seems to really enjoy it too!  At the end they had a witch that you could get your picture with and Ellie actually sat on her lap!!!  I was shocked.  She usually doesn't like characters, but she was okay with this one.  Yeah!  That made me happy :)  I'm so glad we went and we had a great time!

And Baby #2 is...

We are excited to announce that Baby #2 is another GIRL!!!  Honestly, we were surprised.  I kind of thought I was having a boy.  I'm not sure why, I just thought it was a boy.  So when they said it was another girl I was caught off guard!  But I'm really excited about it!!!  I'm so excited for Ellie to have SISTER!  It will be so fun to watch them grow up together.  And on a practical note, it will be nice that we have all the girl stuff already :)  With Ellie in April and this baby in March, hopefully all the clothes should match up season wise too.

I love getting ultrasounds!  I always love being able to watch that little baby moving around in there.  We took Ellie with us to the ultrasound and she thought it was pretty neat to see the baby.  This little girl was stubborn for awhile and wouldn't unfold herself to get a view they needed, but she eventually gave it up and they were able to see all they needed to. Almost everything looked great on the ultrasound.  Everything with the baby was good.  I do have a low lying placenta.  If the attachment site doesn't move far enough away from my cervix then I will have to have a c-section.  If that is the worst thing, I'll take it.  I'm just glad the baby is healthy!  So they will do another ultrasound in 2 months to see if it's moved enough that I don't need a c-section.  Hey, I'm good with getting to see the baby again :)  Dr. Olsen said that 95% of the time the placenta shifts enough that this won't be a problem.  So we will just wait and see, I'm not too worried about it.  Again, I'm just grateful everything with the baby is good!

This weekend we took some pictures to announce that it's a girl!  I think they turned out quite adorable :)

I have to add these last two pictures because they are funny.  Landen and I have been watching The Office again and I never realized before how often they have cake on that show...and it totally made me crave cake.  In a bad way.  So one day I straight up went to Lee's and bought myself a cake.  Best $8 I've spent in awhile ;)  And the other one...yeah, that's basically happening in my stomach right now!  This baby gets a lot of pizza...big surprise, I know :)
